Inflammation

Inflammation is the underlying cause of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, obesity, . . . we could go on and on, but you get the picture. It even causes joint and muscle pain called ‘arthritis’. In fact, you can attach the Greek term “itis” to any body part, and that means it is inflamed. So, neuritis simply means nerve inflammation, tendonitis is tendon inflammation, gastritis; stomach inflammation, hepatitis; liver inflammation, myocarditis; heart inflammation, arthritis simply means joint inflammation, and so on.

The fact is, if any part or organ is inflamed, its ability to function is compromised. Every organ in your body can be affected by inflammation.

  • Heart Inflammation => Shortness of breath, fluid retention, heart failure

  • Stomach Inflammation => Irritable Bowel disease, Crohn’s, malnutrition

  • Liver Inflammation => high blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar

  • Lung Inflammation => COPD; asthma, bronchitis, emphysema

Every day as we review the lab’s test results, we see that 90 percent of people have stomach or ‘gut inflammation’ from the toxins in food and beverages consumed. If your stomach is inflamed, you can’t digest your food which means you can’t get the nutrients to your cells. You can eat the best organic food from the farmers market but, if you can’t assimilate the nutrients, they are just passing through and your health will suffer. Similarly, if you can’t digest the vitamin supplements you are taking because your stomach is inflamed, you won’t realize the benefits from them. Here are some common symptoms of gut inflammation:

  • Restless Sleep leaves you confused, irritable, moody.

  • Muscle tone is fading, and it feels like parts of your body are just withering away.

  • Fatigue. That energy you used to enjoy is a shadow of its former self. • Stubborn fat on your belly, hips, thighs, and chest are starting to feel permanent. Digestive distress and constipation . . . but you’re told it’s all just a normal part of growing old.

  • Sore muscles, swollen joints. Forget about playing with the kiddos! You’re told you are past your prime.

The first step to restoring your health is often to reduce inflammation. Inflammation is a beneficial process when white blood cells and chemicals protect us from bacteria and viruses. However, when your immune system mistakenly triggers an inflammatory response when no threat is present, chronic low-grade inflammation occurs causing autoimmune disease, fibromyalgia, cancer, and other distressing conditions.

We will partner with you to reduce inflammation down to the cellular level.
